Ramon Yorgason is a third-generation resident of the Treasure Valley.  He followed his father’s footsteps becoming an accountant and real estate developer.  After receiving an accounting degree from Brigham Young University and serving in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era, Ramon returned to Boise and started his accounting career with Ernst & Ernst as an auditor.  In 1977, Ramon and two partners started Capital Development, Inc., in Boise, Idaho.  Ramon has been the President since its inception and the sole owner since 1980.

Since 1981, Capital Development has been a member of the local Building Contractors Association (BCA) and, in 2000, was recognized as the Company of the Year for the Association.  Ramon has served as Chairman of the Developer’s Council and is a Life Director for the Association.

In 1997, David Yorgason, Ramon’s oldest son, joined the company after receiving an accounting degree and MBA from Brigham Young University and working for Arthur Andersen Business Consulting and IBM.  Dave has also served as the Developer’s Council Chairman for the BCA, is currently serving on the BCA Board of Directors and was recognized by the Association as its 2006 Builder of the Year.

In 2006, Chris Yorgason, Ramon’s second son, joined the company.  Chris majored in international finance and political science before continuing on to earn a law degree from Brigham Young University.  Prior to joining Capital Development, Chris worked for two local law firms, most recently with Moore, Smith, Buxton & Turcke, Chtd., where his practice focused on general representation of local government entities.  Chris served as legal counsel for the cities of Star, Middleton, Marsing, and Eagle, among other cities and government agencies in the surrounding area.

Capital Development, Inc. has developed over 5,000 residential lots for single-family residential subdivisions in cities ranging from Mountain Home to Middleton to Portland, Oregon.  Current subdivisions being developed are Settler’s Bridge (Meridian), Quail Ridge (Boise), Hunter’s Creek (Star), Castlebury West and Kathleen Estates (Eagle), Lanewood Estates (Ada County), Manchester Park (Caldwell), Roosevelt Park (Nampa) and the Estates at Meadow Park (Middleton).
